The Project
Unlocking 707 rear-wheel horsepower out of an independent rear suspension F-body descendant requires moving far past basic bolt-on upgrades. This 2005 Pontiac GTO is a heavily engineered street weapon relying on a blueprinted GM LS2 block packed to the brim with forged Callies Compstar internals, Wiseco pistons, and high-tensile ARP fasteners. Driven by a billet-wheel 78mm Comp Turbocharger, a ProCharger 1,300HP race intercooler matrix keeps the intake charge frozen. To survive the rapid torque onset inherent to single turbochargers, the entire drivetrain was rewritten using an RPM Level V manual transmission, a multi-stage Monster clutch, and heavy-duty G-Force axle components.
